 THE "DISTANCE" DESIGN OF “JOY”

 The program incorporates the following elements: 

1.     Long distance learning and/or home study that you can do in your home or office. In order to do this, you will:   

Read and learn the book “Rediscover the Joy of Learning” 

Practice and learn the exercises and skills of the New Joy Manual

Watch, listen and learn the four sets of DVDs “Rediscover the Joy of Learning”. Total playing time is about 14 hours.

Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) 

2.    Personal one-on-one coaching with Success Skills staff on the book, DVDs, new joy manual and Joy Processes.

3.    Individualized feedback and coaching from Success Skills staff on your application of the Joy processes with at LEAST six others (such as students, your family, friends, clients and/or colleagues).

4.    An approved write-up of the above six different case studies (a summary of 1 to 1 ½ pages each) of your application of the Joy processes. This write-up will follow the "Student Assessment" and "Student Write-up" guidelines outlined in the Joy Manual.

5.    A written test (open book/manual/coach/videos) to assure the quality of the learning experience.

6.    Final approval and certification as a “Certified Coach of Rediscover the Joy of Learning” by Success Skills in consultation with involved Specialty Joy Coaches will be required. This approval will depend upon your success in steps 1-5 above.
